Ministries

Active & Future Ministries

The outreach exists to serve the people of Waco in their spiritual, communal, and educational needs, but we’re still just getting started! Ministry is not the purview of a few select individuals but the responsibility of the whole community for the whole community. We’ve started a few ministries but are eager to get more people involved. Please consider joining a ministry or bringing your own ideas. Please email wacobyzantine@gmail.com or talk to one of our friendly greeters!

St. Philip the Deacon Service Group

Every month we do our best to serve our local community in the corporal works of mercy. This can be by visiting the elderly, serving the poor, or simply cleaning up the road. Please email wacobyzantine@gmail.com for details!

Iconography Workshops

To inquire or register, email workshop leader Renee Clayton at renee.clayton82@gmail.com

Byzi-Body Greeter Team

Individuals who coordinate hospitality and serve as greeters. While every member is a “greeter,” it’s wonderful for visitors to have someone familiar with the East to help guide new folks and coordinate hospitality. If you would like to volunteer to be a Byzi-Body, please email wacobyzantine@gmail.com or speak with Andrew Clayton.

Easter Christian Formation (ECF)

Young Adult (teens and up) is bi-weekly.

Youth ECF takes place before every liturgy at 2:00 p.m.. It is divided into 2 age groups: the Wiggles (1-6), the Kids (7-12)

St. Romanos Cantor & Server Team:

The Cantor team leads the laity in our liturgies and services. We always need more assistance in guiding prayer and chant and no experience is necessary to assist! Let us know if you would like to learn how to cantor!
